Privacy Policy

How ViteCleaners collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Who we are

This policy applies to 1001124601 Ontario Corp. (operating as ViteCleaners) and the ViteCleaners stores it operates: our stores, this website, our booking and account pages at app.vitecleaners.com, and our pickup and delivery service. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Contact and account details: your name, phone number, e-mail address (optional), your store and your language.

Addresses if you book a pickup or delivery, including unit, buzzer, Postal Code and instructions for the courier.

Order details: the items you bring or send us, their brand, colour and condition, care notes, prices, due dates and status.

Photos of your items when we receive them and when we find a problem such as a stain or a tear. We aim to photograph the item only.

Issue cards and messages: the choices you make when we ask about a problem with an item, and messages you send us.

Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. If you save a card, Stripe stores it; we keep only the card brand, last four digits, expiry date and a Stripe reference. We never see or store your full card number or security code. We also keep records of payments, refunds, wallet balance, points, coupons and membership.

Messages: the texts, e-mails and automated calls we send you, whether they were delivered, and your opt-out choices.

Security records: one-time sign-in codes (stored only in scrambled form), sign-in sessions, and a log of what our staff do on your order.

Sign-in with Google or Apple: if you choose it, we receive your name, e-mail address, whether that e-mail is verified, and an account ID from that provider. We do not receive your password.

Pickup and delivery: the courier's tracking link, delivery status and proof-of-delivery photo or record.

We do not ask for your date of birth, government ID or Social Insurance Number.

How we use it

We use your information to receive, clean, track and return your items; arrange pickup and delivery; count your items, confirm the price and charge you as agreed; ask you about problems with an item; run your account, wallet, points and membership; sign you in securely and prevent fraud; answer questions and handle claims; keep the records the law requires, such as tax records; and improve our service.

We may use your personal information to arrange courier pickups and deliveries, to improve our products and your experience, and in our internal tools, including AI-assisted tools, operated by us or our service providers.

If you agree, we also use your contact details to send you offers and news. We do not sell your personal information.

Your consent

When you give us your information to place an order, book a pickup or open an account, you consent to its use for providing the service, including order updates by text, automated call or e-mail. These service messages are not marketing.

We send marketing only if you expressly agree, for example by ticking the marketing box. You can withdraw at any time: reply STOP to a marketing text, use the unsubscribe link in a marketing e-mail, change the setting in your account, or ask any store. This does not stop service messages about your orders.

If you reply STOP to our service number, we can no longer text you order updates. We will use e-mail if we have it, and you can reply START to turn texts back on.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job for us. They are bound by contract to protect it and may not use it for their own purposes.

Amazon Web Services: hosting, storage and e-mail (Amazon SES) for all system data, in Canada (Montréal region).

Stripe: card payments, saved cards and membership billing; receives the card details you enter, amounts, your name and e-mail.

Twilio: text messages and automated calls; receives your phone number and the message or code.

Couriers (FleetNow, Nimbus): pickup and delivery; receive your name, phone, address, instructions and the number of boxes.

Anthropic (AI): our internal tools, including AI-assisted tools.

Google and Apple: sign-in, only if you choose to sign in with them.

Google Analytics: website statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies on our website; receives your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you visit.

Speech-to-text provider (if enabled): turns short voice notes our staff record into text.

Expo: sends alerts to our staff devices; no customer contact details.

Cloudflare: DNS, security and speed for our websites, and cookieless visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics); sees your IP address.

Our AI and speech providers state that they do not train their models on data sent through their business services. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or to a buyer of our business that is bound by this policy.

Information outside Canada

Our system data is stored in Canada. Stripe, Twilio, Anthropic, Google, Apple, Cloudflare, our speech-to-text provider and Expo may process information in the United States or other countries, where it is subject to local law and may be accessed by courts or authorities there. We use contracts and provider settings to protect it.

How long we keep it

Garment photos in our cloud storage are deleted 180 days after the order is completed, and photos on store devices 30 days after pickup. Issue card photos are deleted 90 days after the issue is closed.

Sign-in codes and ended sign-in sessions are deleted after 30 days. The link to your order page stops working 30 days after the order is completed. Our staff activity log is kept for 1 year.

Orders, payments, refunds and invoices are kept as long as tax and business record laws require (generally 7 years). Your account and saved addresses are kept while your account is active. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

Information is encrypted in transit and kept in private storage. Staff sign in with their own accounts and PINs and see only the stores they work at; refunds and other sensitive actions need a manager's approval and are logged. Photos are shrunk and stripped of location data before storage. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

Access, correction and deletion

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to close your account and delete what we no longer need to keep. Contact our Privacy Officer or ask at any store. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will answer within 30 days. Some records, such as payment and tax records and records of claims, must be kept after you close your account.

You can update your name, e-mail and marketing choice, and remove a linked Google or Apple sign-in, in your account at any time.

Cookies

This website (vitecleaners.com). We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. We use Google Analytics, which sets analytics cookies, only if you accept them in our cookie banner. Only necessary cookies are on by default. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of each page; your choice is stored in your browser and we ask again after 12 months.

Our booking and account pages (app.vitecleaners.com) use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, for up to 30 days. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we also use a short-lived essential cookie for 10 to 15 minutes to complete the sign-in safely. Stripe's payment pages use Stripe's own cookies for payment security.

Those pages also keep a few things in your own browser's storage: your language choice, and a booking you have not finished yet (including the pickup address) until you submit it or close the tab. This stays on your device and is not sent to us until you book.

Children

Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. A parent or guardian may place orders for a child's clothing.
